Lea looked around the room, wondering what he meant. But then she looked out of the window and gave a tiny gasp. “you can see the whole house and driveway from here.” She gawked.
“Yep.” Darren was blushing. “Does that bother you?”
“No, but I didn’t know; I never noticed this house from my house. How can you see it so well?”
Darren shrugged. “I don’t know. But it is one of only two windows you can see it from so well. The other window is next door in the bathroom.” He nodded to the left, “except in the winter when the leaves fall, then you can see it from almost this entire side of the house.

“I’m sorry.” Darren glanced at her sheepishly.
“I am not mad, I promise. I think you must have been bored. I’m not intriguing.” She shrugged.
“To me, you are.” Darren still gazed at her.
“You couldn’t see in any of the windows, could you?” Lea took another look out of the window, narrowing her eyes.
“No, sweetheart. I promise.” Darren asserted.
“I’m teasing you. My mom keeps the windows and curtains closed.” She rolled her eyes.
